Mallory made the team feel at ease, and was able to capture some absolutely incredible shots of the team and their work. We had provided a bit of direction about the vibe we wanted to portray and she ran with that - exceeding all expectations. Fun fact - I bartended at MAP starting on opening night and stayed until 40 Watt became my full time job in 2019! They were incredibly supportive when I decided to leave and have stayed friends since - my office is now right around the corner, so I see them often. I was thrilled when they asked me to come photograph their wholesale team in action for a piece in a magazine. They handle all of their distribution in-house and the team is organized, efficient, resourceful, and scrappy as hell. I respect the hustle deeply and I'm so glad to see them doing well. This was so fun and my favorite way to photograph teams in action. If I can be a fly on the wall for their normal work day, the process of being photographed is less awkward and the results are much more natural.
